officials of the Ports and Maritime Organization and the managers of Almarafi
Company of Oman, Khosrow Sarai; Director General of Transit, Logistics and
Agreements of the Ports and Maritime Organization said: In the meantime, we are
interested in developing joint cooperation, tackling issues and optimizing the
existing conditions in maritime transport and port operations in the two countries.
The head of Almarafi Company of Oman also expressed hope that with the meetings
and joint cooperation, while resolving the issues between the ports of Iran and
Oman, the volume of trade between the two countries could be increased.
he added: Al-Suwayq Port is a newly established port that only
the first phase of its development plan has been completed and with the completion
of the next phases, the capacity of this port will increase, so we invite the
Iranian side to invest in the next phases of this port development plan.
