PMO News Portal - During the first meeting on the
International Transport and Transit Corridor Agreement which was held in Tehran
October 23rd, a coordinating document on the implementation of Chabahar
agreement between the three countries of Iran, India and Afghanistan was signed
by Mohammad Rastad, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing
Director of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization, T.S. Tirimurti; Deputy
Foreign Minister and Imam Mohammad Warymoch; Deputy Minister of transportation.
In this document, in order to provide solutions for
optimizing and facilitating the transit and transportation of goods in the
foreseeable routes, the use of the potential of different transit corridors of
the region, especially the north-south corridor was emphasized.
This document also focuses on removing infrastructure barriers
and facilitating rules and regulations, developing multimodal transport for smooth
transit and services, establishing a transport and transit trade union with the
participation of the private sector of all countries and developing regional
