PMO News Portal - The secretary of Japan embassy in Iran,
visited the current activities of Imam Khomeini port complex and became
acquainted with the commercial and operational capacities of the port.
Utilizing the special economic zone of Imam Khomeini port in
trade exchanges and expanding business cooperation in terms of favorable
investment opportunities were the most important discussed issues during the meeting of the secretary of
the embassy of Japan and Adel Daris, the Director General of Ports and maritime
affairs of Khuzestan province.
It is worth mentioning that the Imam Khomeini port complex
with an area of over 11,000 hectares is the largest commercial port in the
country, with an annual capacity of over 50 million tons. It accounts for more
than 30 percent of the maritime business of the country.
