PMO News Portal - Pointing out that Chabahar port is the
closest and least expensive route to access the international markets through Indian,
Behrouz Aghaei stated that taking advantage of this port will significantly
reduce the time and cost of cargo transportation an boost the economy in the
region by connecting the countries to each other.
Given this advantage, representatives from several countries
including China, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Afghanistan, India,
Russia and Japan have visited the port of Chabahar and expressed their
willingness to invest in the port of Chabahar.
The Chabahar port, as one of the factors contributing to the
expansion of regional ties, has been mutually beneficial to all countries,
especially neighboring states.
Aghaei continued: The Chabahar Port is a gateway to free and
easy trade for all nations, especially its neighbors, to create mutual benefits
by exploiting and interacting with regional ports, especially the Port of Oman
According to the Director General of Sistan and Baluchestan Ports
and Maritime, the mission of the Port of Chabahar is to strengthen the bond between
the countries and promote mutual cooperation. In this regard, other countries
can invest and operate in the port based on their needs and interests.
