of a communication route between Sarakhs and Chabahar, and stated: The Chabahar
– Sarakhs connection, in addition to the development of southeastern provinces
of Iran, marks significant changes in trade relations. By connecting Central
Asia to Chabahar, achieving unique economic opportunities will be facilitated.
he added: Chabahar is the most convenient hub for Central
Asian countries and Afghanistan to access open waters and is a strategic point
for the transit of goods from Asia to Europe.
Ali Zinivand; The governor of Kerman also evaluated the
performance of Chabahar port positive and said: This strategic port is the
largest oceanic port in the country and one of the standard ports in the world,
and considering the appropriate depth, large ships do not face difficulties to
berth at this port
Transit of basic goods needed in the east of the country
through other ports leads to road traffic and increased costs, while the
arrival of basic commodities through Chabahar port will be more cost effective.
